It's true what you say about Metallica............we just weren't ready for them! But then neither were the majority of the punters! I would now rate Metallica as one of my all time favorite bands.........and I'm sure that goes for most of the punters that complained at the time too!!

Loved ringing up Andy Fenn (who look the calls on Sunday) and annoying him with a guitar amp up against the reciever (a live rendition of Quiet Riot's "Battleaxe" no less) and recording poor quality jingles for the Rockshow (Kiss' "War Machine" and Quiet Riot's "Metal Health") - heavy metal memories (Spinal Tap) indeed ! but why no mention of the titan of terror and the leader of the bastard squad - Barry Black !!!!!! ???
